The Role
Working alongside, and learning from the owner Ronnie Tennant, We are looking for a passionate and commercially-driven Retail Sales Manager to lead our Glasgow team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring we hit sales targets while maintaining our reputation as a trusted musical specialist. This is a "hands-on" role that bridges the gap between artistic expertise and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Performance: Meet and exceed monthly sales targets for instruments and accessories.
- Team Leadership: Motivate a knowledgeable team of sales staff, fostering a positive and inclusive store culture.
- Customer Excellence: Ensure every visitor receives expert guidance, whether they are buying their first trumpet or a professional-grade tuba.
- Inventory Visuals: Manage stock levels, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure the shop floor is visually appealing and well-merchandised.
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local schools, brass bands, and music tutors to drive brand awareness.
- Operations: Manage daily admin, including cash handling, staff rotas, and health and safety compliance.
About You
Music Knowledge: A deep understanding of brass and woodwind instruments is essential.
Retail Experience: Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
Sales Focus: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse sales data and spot growth opportunities.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with musicians of all levels.
